Pease Porridge Hot

Very good!

  1. Heat to boiling:
    • 2 c. water
  2. Add
    • 1½ tsp. chicken or vegetable bouillon
  3. Whisk in:
    • ¼ c. split-pea flour
  4. For quick soup, add:
    • ½ c. frozen hash browns
    • 1 tbs. dried onion
    • a pinch of thyme
  5. For fresh soup, add:
    • ¼ c. grated carrots
    • ¼ c. grated potatoes
    • ¼ c. chopped celery
