- Heat to boiling:
- 2 c. water
- Add
- 1½ tsp. chicken or vegetable bouillon
- Whisk in:
- ¼ c. split-pea flour
- For quick soup, add:
- ½ c. frozen hash browns
- 1 tbs. dried onion
- a pinch of thyme
- For fresh soup, add:
- ¼ c. grated carrots
- ¼ c. grated potatoes
- ¼ c. chopped celery
