Most flavorings can be added before and after the culturing of yogurt. Adding flavoring before the culturing will result in evenly distributed flavor. Waiting until after the yogurt has formed allows family members to make their own flavor choices.
Don’t add high-acid fruits before culturing yogurt–they will cause the yogurt to curdle. Add pineapple, kiwi, oranges, citrus juice concentrates, etc. after the yogurt has cultured.
