Fry Bread and Hash Browns

Advance Preparation

  1. In advance, combine:
    • 6 c. flour
    • 1 c. instant milk
    • 1 tbs. salt
    • 2½ tbs. baking powder
  2. Place the Fry Bread mix into a bag.
  3. Add a label “Requires 2½ c. water plus water for hash browns.” to the bag.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Combine water with mix and knead:
    • 2½ c. water
    • 1 bag of Fry Bread mix
  2. Let sit for an hour.
  3. Break off pieces of dough and shape into saucers.
  4. Fry in hot oil.

  5. Serve with honey.
  6. Follow package instructions for hash browns.
