Mom’s favorite—it’s spicy!
- Place in a large pot or crockpot:
- 1½ lbs. beef stew meat
- Sprinkle over meat:
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- Mix in a bowl and pour over meat:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. beef bouillon
- 1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes with juice (chop into smaller pieces)
- 1 can (4 oz.) green chiles, chopped
- Cover and cook 1½ hours on low on the stove, or 6-7 hours on high in the crockpot.
- Add:
- 3 tbs. chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, drained
- Cook 20 min.
- Serve with tortillas and salsa.
