- Mix dry ingredients:
- 3 c. white wheat flour
- 3 c. white flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tbs. baking powder
- ¼ c. sugar
- 1½ tsp. cream of tartar
- Cut in:
- 1½ c. butter (or butter-flavored shortening)
- Add and stir just until mixed:
- 2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- Knead a few times until smooth.
- Roll out on floured work surface.
- Cut biscuits and place next to each other on a greased 9 in. x 13 in. pan.
- Bake at 450° for 10-12 min. Makes approximately 24 large biscuits.
