Better Biscuits!

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
    • 3 c. white wheat flour
    • 3 c. white flour
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 3 tbs. baking powder
    • ¼ c. sugar
    • 1½ tsp. cream of tartar
  2. Cut in:
    • 1½ c. butter (or butter-flavored shortening)
  3. Add and stir just until mixed:
    • 2 c. milk
    • 2 eggs
  4. Knead a few times until smooth.
  5. Roll out on floured work surface.
  6. Cut biscuits and place next to each other on a greased 9 in. x 13 in. pan.
  7. Bake at 450° for 10-12 min. Makes approximately 24 large biscuits.
