- Combine in a large pot or crockpot:
- 2 c. dried white beans
- 3½ c. water
- 1/3 c. molasses
- ¼ c. brown sugar
- 1 onion, chopped
- ½ lb. salt pork, cut into cubes
- 1 tbs. prepared mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- Cover and cook 3-4 hours on the stove, or 9-10 hours on high in the crockpot. (These beans are best when cooked for a longggg time like authentic New England beans.)
- Most people enjoy these beans as a side dish.
