Boston Baked Beans

  1. Combine in a large pot or crockpot:
    • 2 c. dried white beans
    • 3½ c. water
    • 1/3 c. molasses
    • ¼ c. brown sugar
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • ½ lb. salt pork, cut into cubes
    • 1 tbs. prepared mustard
    • 1 tsp. salt
  2. Cover and cook 3-4 hours on the stove, or 9-10 hours on high in the crockpot. (These beans are best when cooked for a longggg time like authentic New England beans.)
  3. Most people enjoy these beans as a side dish.
