- Saute until slightly caramelized:
- 1-2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tbs. oil
- Combine in a large pot or crockpot:
- onion and garlic mixture
- 2 c. dried white beans
- 3½ c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½-1 tsp. oregano
- ¼-½ tsp. rosemary
- Cover and cook 20 min. in a pressure cooker, 2-3 hours on the stove, or 6-7 hours on high in the crockpot.
- Add and simmer to blend flavors:
- 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes
- ¼ c. chopped green pepper
- If desired, add other pizza toppings, such as chopped ham, chopped pepperoni, sliced olives, etc.
- Top with:
